So the nature of work is changing.

Yeah, I mean, Europe has already got an EU AI Act that is categorizing the kinds of risks that would be regulated, making sure that companies know exactly what their obligations under that.

The big challenge is that, like, if you're regulating a building, right, or food, the building doesn't change over the lifetime of the building, right?

The regulation stays the same.

Problem with AI is the moment you set a rule, next day it suddenly changed.

And so you're chasing essentially the evolution of the technology all the time.

So I think a lot more emphasis now is being put on investing in evaluation of the risk.

So, for example, here in Ireland, like we're investing some of that AI research money I talked about in making sure that we have the right experts involved.

the right observers to be inside those companies watching when something changes.

Like the government had an AI advisory council who recommended a jobs observatory.

Just watch where the penny is dropping within the jobs market and then respond.

So be aware of the evolution and very quickly have the right people walking in, knocking on the door going, show me what's inside the box.

And I think that's where we'll start to see evolution of regulation that will be better served to the design of the systems, which we missed with social media, and just decreeing safety, which is not something at the moment we know enough about these AIs to do a firm amount of that.

But we have enough at the moment with the EI Act, I think, to set the trend.

That's a positive.

But the thing is that the people, we're getting so much more power as individuals.

And I think the thing for me is that the mistake we made with the last set of technologies was we wanted safety by decree.

We wanted bans and we wanted fixed rules.

Whereas having been inside companies, we had a good set of regulation called the Digital Services Act.

It exposed all of the content moderation and all that kind of stuff to transparency and accountability.
