But again, the key is this, not to decree an outcome today like a building code, but to make sure that we have maximum transparency and accountability.
We allow whistleblowers to have protection and we train the right experts in the public service to walk in and be able to say, show me what's in the box and let me look at the algorithms.
And I think that's the way we should approach regulation.

I mean, I'm really impressed in one way.
I mean, we have to set our public conversation about technology in a completely different way, you know, because at the moment it's a binary choice.
It's either good or it's bad.
I think this is what's happened with the under 16 ban.
For example, I'm really impressed by the ways that that campaign was organized.
Grassroots, parents, teachers came together.
That's exactly what we should be doing for technology.
But I think what they have done is they've chosen a policy that won't work in practice
And it also sets kids up for failure.
It says, you know, technology is like nicotine or alcohol.
It's addictive.
It'll do you damage.
But actually technology for so many young people, they want to get off their phones, but they also know that the phone and social media helps them be creative and collaborate and form their identities.
And actually some people using online life to shape their identity.
So there's positives and negatives.
And what we're missing with this ban, I think, this is why it's a mistake, we should be more radical and tell that the tech companies are being let off the hook here.
