But that's my positive scenario is that little by little, incrementally, we start to see the beginnings of AI implementing a kind of electrical force in our lives.

Exactly.

And then we start embracing with our governments investment in innovation, right kind of regulation.

And most of all, we feel like we're part of a civil rights movement of our generation looking for power online and that we'll start to see the kind of grassroots activism that won't be about populism and backlash, but about this is how we want the public commons to be designed for the future.

And it looks a lot like what we've already had in the Internet and the Web.

And I think that's my positive scenario.

And I was with Tim Berners-Lee, who invented the web on Friday night in an event here outside Dublin, Ducky Book Festival.

And at the very end, it was a rainstorm.

And we couldn't hear him.

He was very soft-spoken.

And I was surprised, you know, because he was saying, listen, we've got to get out there and build AI for ourselves, keep our data private, and build a civil rights movement.

So I turned to the audience thinking they hadn't heard him.

He's very soft-spoken, heavy rain.

And there was just this standing ovation.

And it's that moment I was thinking, that's it.

This is the future.

And Jimmy Wales, who invented Wikipedia, was right in front of me in the same tent outside Dublin the other night.

That standing ovation, that was where I thought about the hope.
