The biggest fear I have is that we will have a backlash against AI that will make the populism of the last 15 years look quaint.

We will see politics being shaped by AI if it keeps down this route.

The midterm elections in the US will be a test.

We'll see it here.

Look at, for example, data centers in Ireland.

We have to solve that energy problem.

We cannot siphon off the electricity in our country to data centers.

So, therefore, there will be a backlash if we don't solve.

That's the negative, I think.

Okay.

The positive...

is that AI becomes a bit more like electricity.

And in our lives, we start to see where there's real changes already happening.

So, for example, diagnostics of disease.

We have AI being used to early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, which is a death sentence right now because it's not detected early enough.

We have drug resistant bacteria.

Suddenly AI is helping come up with new drugs that can treat those problems.

They're not in the headlines.

They don't get the sexy front page.
