The Friends of the W&OD Trail had a fundraiser.
They replaced all the mile markers on the trail, about 160 of them, at a $30 donation each.
So the Friends raised 4,800 bucks.
Nova Parks itself to do plantings on the trail, even though it's their trail, money's just not a lot of money for that.
Even though this is offsite, is this something Dominion would work with Nova Parks and help fund?
the additional plantings that are on Nova Parks as close to the trail as possible?
Okay, so it'll be up to the trail within a couple of feet, hopefully, of the trail in their easement, but if things there can grow to 10 feet tall, then nobody on the trail will see, and that's been my argument all along.
When I got my trail sign, my mile marker, it was 35 because it's Leesburg, that's where we get on the trail, and we love it because it's just tree canopies the whole way, and there's no substations.
But in the Ashburn side here,
it's a visual nightmare it's scrub brush and and prison walls um and also one of my other objections is something that commissioner uh barnes had mentioned about the timing how it's we had since may to you know turn something around in four weeks except i've been talking about 20-foot prison walls for
five years so this is this none of this is new to dominion or to novec um it may have come to a head um a couple a couple months ago with the creation of actual infrastructure committee subcommittee but it is this hasn't been um new to anybody it's just no one decided to ever listen to what we've been saying up here for all these years so um that
Now that we have no choice but to listen, well, I appreciate that, but it doesn't mean that we shouldn't have been listening a while ago to come up with something a little bit more creative than we've been doing for all these years.

I'm not going to be supporting the application, even though I know the board is going to approve it.
It's a reliability site.
I know that's going to happen.
It is a major visibility point.
This is essentially a corner at the intersection of not just the trail and 28, but also Pacific Boulevard.
