Well, thanks for having me on, Steve.
When you talk about the capture of the legal system by the left, it all starts with the law schools.
And if you successfully indoctrinate
would-be lawyers while they're in law school, then they're going to spend the rest of their careers as either a woke lawyer in private practice working for a big law firm, or they're going to go into government, or if they have the right connections, they will become a judge.
And in any event, they're all taught what they're...
what the left wants them to do in the law school.
So this is the long march through the institutions has taken place and law schools have been captured.
And one of the reasons that they are captured and will stay captured is because the American Bar Association has been granted monopoly status over the accreditation process
for law schools.
And in virtually every state, you cannot take the bar exam.
Somebody, a graduate of a law school, cannot take the bar exam unless the school they graduated from has been accredited by the ABA.
And this has happened on a piecemeal basis.
In each state, the state Supreme Court is in charge of regulating the practice of law in that state, and that includes accreditation of law schools.
And they've just simply delegated this to the ABA.
And the ABA, over a period of decades, has slowly, like a boa constrictor, wrapped itself around legal academia.
And instead of just policing things like, do you have enough books in the library?
And do you have enough teachers on your faculty?
They've micromanaged every aspect of legal education, including what needs to be taught, how it's taught, who gets hired, how to admit students, make sure that you have enough affirmative action.
But the thing that's the topic of my piece today is rule 203 of the ABA's accreditation standards, which says that a law school dean cannot be hired without the consent and approval of the faculty.
And this got put into the headlines in Kentucky because the University of Kentucky College of Law is in the process or has selected a new dean.
