So this scene where Daniel rides into Colton and he's talking about these things that he can see and hear and smell, it's another nostalgia moment for me, actually.

I grew up in a little town called Esk, which is about now north of Brisbane where I currently live.

It's a little small country town.

It's got I was gonna say it's got a mountain to the east there.

I don't think you could call that a mountain, right?

It's a hill.

I used to think of it as a mountain, but it's a hill.

It's a cool looking hill.

It's got a big rock face on it called Glen Rock.

It's quite a picturesque little town, I reckon.

And I can remember as you come into the town from the north, you kind of come down a a slope.

And I can remember as a kid riding my pushbike home after a day of riding around with my friends, having adventures or whatever, and riding home in that sort of golden hour twilight or and the things I remember is the lights.

coming on in people's houses and someone near our house used to have a wood fired stove and I would smell that every night.

And to me that's very, very representative of a feeling of home.

This whole description that Daniel is giving evokes feelings of home of man living in esque riding my push bike down the hill.

So in a lot of ways, that's kind of what I'm trying to say here because Daniel's whole objective really, if you look at it, is he's trying to find a home.

He's trying to find somewhere that's safe where it's a sanctuary from the shadows.

And as he rides into Colton late in the afternoon, that's kind of the hope that he has in his heart.

Could this be the place where I could finally find home?

And in order to convey that, I've put in all of these elements that speak to home for me, if you know what I mean.
