We all need to get behind them.
I'm really surprised it got this far.
I thought it would be called off by now and hopefully today will be the end of it but the guys really have my support and I think all healthcare workers and indeed the community should stand behind them.
Yeah, like I'm not privy to what's happened behind the scenes here.
I know they did work to rule yesterday and I think
something similar happened and that they didn't fill out paperwork.
But it's obviously been going on for some time.
It's escalated to this stage.
I'm sure they've tried everything they could until they got to this stage.
You know, it's not ideal.
It's really harsh on people who need an ambulance and might not get one in a timely manner.
But as you said, you know, strikes, unfortunately, kind of have to be disruptive.
We striked as doctors in, I think it was 2009, and it was miserable being on the picket line.
But we made our T's and C's much better to kind of protect the future generations and make medicine kind of, you know, less fatigue doctors on the...
on the front line so I know from talking to the guys and from knowing them all they hate being there they hate not being able to respond and I'm sure if they're asked to they will I don't know any paramedic who's going to take a call from the control centre and say I'm not going to that but you know it might be a reduced service today but hopefully it'll protect the service going forward Frank is on the line as well Frank do you support the strike?
I was hoping to come in.
I think, you know, it's kind of the carrot and the stick approach.
These are really, really highly skilled people.
They are in demand all over the world.
If we don't treat them well...
