Well, I suppose the biggest comment I want to make is in regards to Offaly, because everyone can be guilty of looking at the present day match and say that Offaly were very poor, etc.
But you need to rewind, just rewind two years ago.
Where were Cork?
Cork were contesting the All-Ireland final, excuse me, against Clare and Jackson at the time, whereas Offaly were coming out of the Joe McDonagh Cup.
So the ground that Cork or Offaly have made in the last 18 months or two years has been substantial.
And what we've already touched on is the age profile of this group.
And this group has carried awfully, theoretically, from an underage perspective, you know, got the fans behind them, you know what I mean, got the support as they regenerated, but awfully.
Thousands and thousands of people following them from game to game.
Yes, they took a beating from Cork in the 25 and three years ago, but they stuck with them.
And like I said, they're the heap of 123s today.
And that's the base of the foundation of your team going forward.
So yes, today was a tough day, but double down now and invest in the group.
You know, just because you took a trim in today, there's loads to learn from.
You either win
or you learn.
And from my perspective, watching the game, I'm thinking it wasn't the case that, you know, Offaly hurlers are really good hurlers, but from a systematic perspective, and more if you'd agree with me here, they were just left really, you know, open.
They were left really open.
And I'm not trying to put blame on the management team, but I'm saying the setup for me in the first half, when you could see oceans of grass in front of the three, it reminded me like a bit like of when I was there in the league final with Clare versus Dublin.
