I do think this.
As you watch the Cubs, when the Cubs are really good, they pitch and they defend, and they make it dangerous on offense just enough to win games.
The Cardinals do the same way.
It's just there's a lot of unknown on this team because they're so young.
They've moved people around.
They've used a lot of bench players in situations where,
You're like, hey, this isn't enough offense.
This isn't a typical Cardinal team.
But I'll tell you this, Ollie Marble, the manager of the Cardinals, has done a fabulous job.
Their coaching staff are great teachers, and they continue to send the message of whatever happens on that particular day, let's show up the next day and do it all over again.
They don't get ahead of themselves.
They just play the game, and whatever the result is,
they don't get bothered by a bad game here and there.
They don't get bothered by not offensively doing enough.
But what they've done is they've won a lot of one-run games, and they've done well on the road, even though they got swept in Milwaukee, which everyone knows Milwaukee's on a heater.
They've done a really good job on the road, and that's not typical for a young team.
Time will tell.
He's still in a spring training mode because he's had to get a lot of base of the bats.
Also, the dual heel surgery that he had, that can't be an easy aspect of injury.
pounding on his his feet every single day so i think they're going to slow play it enough to have lars tell them when he's ready but i think they have they need a base of at bats and i don't know how many at bats he's had in the minor leagues but he's had some success it would be a nice boost to the offense because it's a veteran guy that really understands how to do it leila
