Same with inflation, as we just discussed, CPI consumer price inflation coming into 2026 is about 3%.
It's gonna go a little higher here uh in the next few months because there's still more tariff path.
Through that's going to occur, uh, but it's gonna moderate towards the end of the year.
And on average, through the year is gonna be about three percent.
So that's gonna be uncomfortable, right?
I mean, four or six, it's it is above full employment, unemployment, uh the full employment unemployment rate, which you know most people and I would put around four.
So that's a little on it's not bad, but it's a little uncomfortable.
And three percent inflation is, you know, not again, not bad, but it it's also
Uncomfortable.
That's above the Fed's target.
So it's gonna feel the year's gonna feel okay, just but not quite right.
And then then of course, uh, you know, you were left with those bigger budget deficits to deal with down the road.

Uh uh, you know, we uh markets exp investors expected the Fed to cut a quarter percentage point, and that's exactly what they did.
Uh there was widespread expectation that there would be a lot of dissension in terms of the decision.
