So you could kind of like writing on someone's Facebook wall, you could leave a comment on someone's channel.

And there were messages that you could just literally like m send.

It could add someone as a friend and then message them in the inbox.

So every single person that subscribed to the MK

ABHD channel, I would get an email for it and I would use that email to open up their profile and send them a message and write a comment on their profile saying thanks for subscribing.

And my theory

was that people would see a comment on someone's channel that says thanks for subscribing and they'd go, Oh, someone said thanks for subscribing.

Let me check out why they subscribe and they would see my channel and they would go, Oh, that's cool.

And they would subscribe too.

I don't know if that actually works.

Growth hacking.

But I was kinda in the early stages like if I just say thank you to everyone, maybe that will have some positive impact.

Um but no, now so they I think I had to eventually stop doing that because I was getting too many emails.

And I think I did a actually I did a giveaway once, which I then there were like 3,000 emails in one day, and I was like, I can't keep doing this.

Yeah, yeah.

So I stopped doing that.

Then they got rid of the feature, but at one point there was an inbox on YouTube that was usable.
