So uh let me broaden the discussion just a little bit, uh, to ask you this, and again, I understand that you are uh in in uh a leadership position among university presses, but uh this may make you very well able to speak about it.
What kind of challenges are university presses facing today?
Yeah, I th I think that's a very good point because you know, you don't know when you're gonna need it.
And to go back to the Al Qaeda example uh or the Taliban example, you just don't know when you're gonna need that book on the Taliban or whatever it is.
I mean see we can't predict what we'll need to know, but that reservoir of knowledge, it's important to keep that fundamental research available so that when you need it, it's there.
Yeah, and we encourage you to buy university press books.
We can say that.
that's an excellent metaphor and it's one I like very much because I tell people, you know, like people will say, Well, I you know, the local newspaper, it's uh it's in decline.
I'm like, Do you subscribe?
So you want that author to write more books?
You should probably buy that author's books.
That would be a good way to do it.
You know, it might cost you a little bit, but still, if you want to support that work, you need to throw in for it just like you do for
You know, that three dollar cup of coffee at Starbucks or whatever it is you happen to like.
