And so, you know, whether you're the coach, whether you're a player, they've moved on from, you know, people in the front office, too.
And so, you know, I think.
At the end of the day, they've got an edict from the owner.
We are here to win championships.
We are here to win and excel and be a championship caliber team year in, year out, regardless of what circumstances you may tell me about.
You need to go fix this.
I'm paying you to do a job.
Go do it.
Likewise with the players, we're paying you to do a job, go do it and execute at the highest level.
Coaching staff, same thing.
So when that starts at the top, which as we know, everything does, and it starts to come down the pyramid, if you will, guys understand what they're getting into.
If they don't, they certainly do now.
And they know what the expectation is.
They want to get the most out of you every second they can.
And when they see a depreciating asset,
they are going to get rid of you as fast as humanly possible and get the most for you so they can move on to the next and try to continue to win.
Well, not only that, but if you look at their season, they very much underperformed.
They had stretches where they looked like they were coming together.
You know, the addition of Marner, they were trying to figure out line combinations and how they were going to, you know, play on a night-to-night basis.
They had a ton of ties.
