So there's always been this thing of people from Leicester, Mansfield, Derby, even further afield, coming here.
That was odd.
You know, kind of dreaming of kind of 10 in a bed sessions.
Whereas the women of Nottingham are quite rightly locked in there.

So you have a huge...
male dominated city and so it's the opposite applied the women left like um yeah and it's a real city center and it's a real kind of town and gown city so you've got we're going to walk past a place later on called de Thurland Hall which is like like Neil would like it's very karaoke place but it's I would never set foot in it for fear of my life
Right.
The place next door to that is the Bodega Social, which has a lot of indie bands play, a lot of students, you know, go there.
And those two places empty at the same time.
Yeah.
Which you would never have in somewhere like London.
You'd never have two such distinct pubs next to each other.
So you've got the town and gown mix...
of your sort of traditional sort of labourers and sons of labourers drinking next door to an influx of students, more and more students from all over the world.
There's a huge influx of international students in Nottingham.
So it means that the city centre is chaotic and it can be a little bit lively at times.
So some of the better pubs are in the suburbs and the city centre is seen as a place at the weekend where you only really go if you want to...
A fight.
