So, I mean, it has been picked up that, you know, when we look at, say, the proportion of household incomes that they're not spending on consumer spending in a particular period, that has been rising.
It's been rising since the COVID pandemic and it's reaching about 15 to 16 percent now.
And now there's obviously a distributional effect there.
This is not necessarily every household is able to do this.
But for the economy overall, we are saving a little bit more.
We don't think that that's necessarily unsurprising when we look at sort of the more fundamental drivers of that.
There's a couple of things going on there.
One is that population is ageing and you tend to have higher savings rates as population ages.
And two, there are, I suppose, a greater tendency amongst younger cohorts to be saving for housing.
And those two things are really, I suppose, more fundamental factors that we see when we look at the trend in the savings rate.
And, yeah, we don't think that that's necessarily going to come down anytime soon.
Well, we are going to see a pickup in housing output, certainly.
And that's certainly embedded in our forecast.
I think by the 2028, I think we have about 44,500 units being produced.
And that's which is up from what it is currently in the region of the low to mid 30s.
And I guess that's critically hinging on sort of delivery of key infrastructure.
So the delivery of water and energy infrastructure in particular.
and making sure that there's enough serviced land available and zoned land available in areas where there's the most highest demand for housing.
And really, our forecasts for housing in that regard are really critical on that enabling infrastructure becoming on stream.
And there have been positive moves in that regard, obviously, lately with the accelerating infrastructure plan.
