In the game, what you need to do becomes clear very late.
So it's good to stay vague until you know what to do.
Vagueness gives you the ability to make late decisions.
Clarity means that you have to make a clear decision
And this has a side effect of you making earlier decisions and being more predictable.
So being vague in your plays is very good.
And I think what we see when we, coming back to this aesthetic thing, when we see a player who we like aesthetically,
who is like, ah, he's like, how he moves with the ball, this is so special.
What we see there is that we can never quite know what he's gonna do.
He stays awake in his action.
He's like, he's keeping the ball, he's turning left, he's turning right, you never know what's happening next.
And this is a certain, this creates a certain vagueness, and vagueness creates this effect of surprise, right?
And I think this is a nice way to reflect about in which situation you want to have vagueness and when you want to have clarity and in which way you want to create clarity, which is probably, I think, like as late as possible.
Basically, stay vague.
as long as uh as possible so keep your options open i think this is a very underrated coaching point keep your options open don't um don't make clear that you're gonna take this one option but make like make this decision very late keep the options open and then when you are sure that one option is good uh use the option cleanly and clearly and very quickly as well

One thing that I want to say is also that Verheyen hates vagueness, right?
Verheyen wants terms that are clearly defined.
He wants everything to be clear.
He wants everything to be planned out.
