I want to full circle this to Verheyen, because Verheyen is one of these guys who really drive scientific, rational clarity in how we watch the game.
And I think clarity is also a very interesting concept in that sphere because clarity gives yourself – clarity means you know something, clarity means you understand something, and clarity means you can work on that with others.
clear and hopefully like correct decisions you don't make decisions by your feeling you make decisions based on a clear logic so hopefully that would mean that this is like you can test if it's correct and if it's not correct you can change the logic but it's a very good approach in order to make better decisions and not just make more than just guesses basically
um and i'm all for clarity and obviously my own work is very often like tries to create clarity about things but i think in the the game um the the concept of vagueness is also very very has a very high value and i've i feel like uh like many coaches hate this many coaches want clear actions uh
I'm not sure if it's also like that in the English-speaking sphere, but in Germany, a coaching point that very, very often can be heard is make clear passes.
We want clear passes.
When somebody plays a pass where it's like, I'm not sure if this is going to work, and then it doesn't work, then coaches are like, make clear passes.
And what they mean is make the things that work 100%.
And again, clarity has its use, but I think coming back to this example of the first touch, the technical exercises, the technical exercises,
give you situations that are very clear.
It's very clear what you have to do very early.
And in the game, that's usually not the case.
