So my first question then, as as it usually is, I want to begin by asking you to say something about your background.

Could you describe briefly your personal and academic journey to the work you're doing now?

Now you've mentioned your introduction to feminist care ethics.

You mentioned Joan Toronto and obviously Fiona Robinson, who you've worked with a lot and written with.

They've been a huge influence on you.

I wonder if there are any other feminist care ethicists that you would pick out as being key influences for you?

And I recognise a number of those names early in your list from the Decentering Epistemologies book.

I think a number of them, like Brenda Dalmeer, feature in that book.

So as I mentioned in my introduction, Maggie, in twenty twenty two you published your book, Care and the Pluriverse Rethinking Global Ethics, and you've also written a number of journal articles about care and the pluriverse.

So I'm sure listeners are wondering what exactly is the pluriverse?

I'm gonna ask you the most difficult question um about a book that's that's complex and highly theoretical, which is if someone said to you, Can you sum up in a couple of sentences what this book's about, how would you answer them?

And what were you trying to achieve in writing it?

Now before we come on to the specific arguments of the book, and and I should say it's a closely argued book, one we can't hope to do justice to in a brief discussion, I'd really encourage people to go and read it for themselves.

I wanted to ask you about the way the book is structured, constructed.

As I say, it's a highly theoretical book and and none the worse for that.
