When it comes to talking franchising, there's never a loss for words.
Well, that's an unfair question.
People are going to be able to do the math.
But it's actually 1979 was when Thomas King and I got our first license for a franchise for Money Mailer.
We really got it launched and moving in 1988.
And
was an exciting time.
It was a brand new company.
And in those days, the idea of proof of concept didn't really exist.
So we were all newcomers together, franchisor, franchisee.

Well, from a woman's perspective, franchising was no different than what was going on in the rest of the world.
In 1979, you were really only about eight or nine years into what was the modern day, and I'm using air quotes here, women's movement.
It was mostly men.
In fact, the whole face of franchising was different then.
The FTC law had just come into place in 79.
