I'm very proud of the work that the WFC does, and I'm very proud of the women who are
the women on that committee represent franchisors, franchisees, and suppliers.
And even though men could apply and be on that committee, it's all women.
I guess that goes back to that are you afraid question you had there, Paul.
Their efforts have been wonderful.
I get calls over the years from women who have said, wow, it was,
Coming to that committee, it was coming to my local Women's Franchise Network meeting.
It was meeting up with lots of other women that gave them a lot of courage to push forward or to see that, yes, they were on the right track and to reach out for the help they needed.
I think that's something women – we're not really good sometimes at asking for help in the beginning.
We think it's a sign of weakness.
Once we realize it's okay, be careful.
We network better than anybody else.
The work has been great.
I will say that last year as I finished off my role as the chairman of that committee, one of my comments to the group was don't take anything for granted.
We still as a gender are not equal in pay.
We still are not a 50-50 split in the boardroom.
we have a lot of distance to go.
And I do think that, to a degree, some of the younger women coming through take so much of what is available to them for granted.
The history is very short.
People in my mother's generation couldn't get credit in their own name.
