incrementally adding capacity in five years, in chunks of five years over the decades right out to 2050.

Well, I think there's been a commitment over the last government and in this government to build out more capacity for public transport.

So that's really welcome.

And I suppose we have to remember that there were decades of underinvestment in the rail network.

So it's really encouraging to see over the period of the last government and the current government, the strong commitment there.

in the programme for government to investing in rail and heavy rail.

And I suppose we talk about delivering infrastructure in this country.

I think the work that's been done here in Ross Lair and other projects that are underway around the country are really strong examples

of how we can work collectively with government and with the other agencies to deliver significant capacity enhancement for the country.

We'd be very confident.

We're looking forward to the announcement of the specific projects that will be funded under the National Development Plan.

But this government have backed the rail strategy, the All-Ireland Strategic Rail Review 2050.

And that was a piece of work commissioned by the Department of Transport and the Department for Infrastructure in Northern Ireland.

So it's looking at the full country.

And under that, there's a cascading number of projects that we are working on.

I believe there's a very strong commitment from government to make those happen.

And it's about us working collectively together now to deliver on that while we maintain today's railway, because we have always as a priority safety.

You know, customers are at the heart of what we want to do.

And we're very focused on delivering a safe and a good passenger experience today.
