oh why are they telling me this who's this character now oh what's that mean but at the end of it you go oh I've really enjoyed that that was a really interesting five four and a half days of cricket absolutely and that's why we love Test Cricket because I watched the third day I think with Barney Douglas film director who made The Edge and he was saying to me he said to me both while watching Emilio Gaybat and James Rue he said

But he was so locked in because you're just watching someone for the first time realizing, oh, I can do this.

And even though they haven't scored massive runs or whatever, we were saying that must be the best feeling and not like getting picked, not walking onto the pitch.

But when you're in that flow of that moment where you're like halfway through an innings or whatever, and you're thinking, oh, this is within my capability.

I think in a small way, even though England have been beaten by 250 runs, we've witnessed quite a few small moments of that this week, which I just really enjoyed.

Plus Joe Root went to 14,000 runs and was so modest about it, it actually started to annoy me.
