So he wants more orphans like him to become immortal like him.
Now, I still think this is true, mostly because Tom told me and I take his authority over anything else because he is the Bobby Playtime guy.
I trust him with my life.

Nothing has been released to prove Tom otherwise.
But as he sat with it for a few months, he realized it's a little more complicated and nuanced than just he turned them into toys.
In the same part of the note where he says, I won't be alone, he says that he's figured out how to keep these orphans turned toys alive.
They walk and talk and everything.
But he also claims he's no closer to the immortality he desires for them.
They will all still die eventually.
And according to Harley, You have no stuff.
He goes on to ask for lab access.
At the time, Tom thought this because that's where the orphans were, and so he could actually perform more experiments on live subjects.
However, the orphans aren't in the labs.
They're in the better place.
these experiments were on the orphans as it was it's not like there were any other options down here so if he was running out he was actually running out of orphans so why ask for labs access because there's something else that exists in the labs that we only find at the end of the chapter the data center this is where we're actually reintroduced to harley a data backup version of him
Now, Harley has been a digital consciousness for a while, so finding a backup of him isn't the most surprising thing.
But what is surprising is that we learned this isn't what this technology was supposed to be used for.
