And he took it in stride.

He started the year, I think it was on a 7 or 8 or 9 game win streak when he was in between the pipes and he had a shutout in his first career start the year prior as a

you know, a call-up at 16 years old.

So I think the expectations were high.

And he signed, you know, at times he had some struggles midway through the year, but he was a 17-year-old netminder in his first full season of the WHL, so it took some time.

And then the playoffs were where he really took his jump and was...

stellar in the four games he played for the oil kings in between the pipes in the playoffs and i think it showed you know what he could do when the reins were given to him and um you know what the columbus blue jackets are getting and you know super athletic net minder a guy who sees the game really well and i think there's a lot more room for you know potential in in parker's game as well yeah

Yeah, it's been great.

You know, Michael's been around this team for so long that the transition is super easy for a guy like that.

And the guy is super smart, super intelligent about the game, really knows his stuff.

So, you know, the transition is super easy.

And I don't expect, you know, gargantuan changes, you know, with Michael Chan at the helm.

But, you know, he's been excellent so far.

And you look at what he found in the import draft and everything.

um you know i'm sure there might be a deal or two that he makes and we'll see how how those pan out at some point but uh you know a really solid addition or i guess promotion for the oil kings and having michael chan take the reins and you know kurt hill moving up to the oilers is pretty awesome to see um as well we don't just you know move players up here in the whl you move general managers up as well so um obviously good to see for kurt and you know michael's got a great opportunity here

Yeah, Lucas feels like a guy who might really shine as, you know, a power play quarterback, a guy that can really move the puck, can really skate.

Maybe a little, you know, quote-unquote undersized, but I think we're learning more and more that means, you know, a little bit less and less in, you know, hockey and, you know, that you can't keep size.

So, you know, a guy who can skate really well, move the puck really well, his highlight reel looks, you know,

in the way he's able to see the game and move the puck and find guys.

So really excited to see that.
