I mean, we ended 93, revisited talking a lot about Prost kind of fading out of F1 at that point and doing just what he needed to do to win that championship.
He's kind of rebuilt a bridge with Senna at the end of that season, the start of 94.
Prost, from everything I remember from the time and everything I've read since, took Senna's death hard.
Yeah, that's it.
I just don't see Prost being able to channel or wanting to channel that into a, and now I'm going to win in this car for Ayrton.
I see him taking it exactly like that.

Even without that emotional side...
Okay, Mansell comes into that car eventually, and he's not massively more convincing than David Coulthard.
Okay, he wins Adelaide, but Coulthard could have won a few races in that car if things turned out very slightly differently as well.
And I just don't see Alain Prost having that Mansell level of raw speed, or even that Coulthard level of raw speed at that point in that car.
So I think it would actually have been, if he wouldn't have wanted to do it, if somehow he'd made himself do it out of whatever kind of loyalty to Renault, possibly, it just might have just gone really sadly badly.

I don't know if this is just bias because we know Prost didn't do very well at running a team in the end.
But to me, the answer is so obviously Senna because that Jordan is good.
That Ligier is not very good.
Senna is in his prime at that point.
Prost has kind of moved beyond his prime.
Prost does really well as a team owner when he inherits a functioning team doing well and can just carry that through.
