I mean, Ligier inherited a functioning 93 car and had a woeful 94, so Ligier did that quite badly in itself.

But you look at how badly most of Ligier's season goes apart from the inherited Hockenheim podiums, and you go, Alain Prost isn't turning that round, given that his record in team ownership is turning around a good thing into a bad thing in the end.

And whether Senna and Jordan could have worked, whether that's just wishful thinking said the previous relationship with Eddie, you can imagine Senna making a really passionate, fervent go of being a team boss.

I don't know if for opposite reasons to process it would end up going just as badly.

But that's my fear.

I can't see Senna and Eddie Jordan staying together very long.

But I think they could have stayed together long enough to make the most of that really pretty good 94 car.

So maybe it's the Prost scenario from 97 repeats.
