He's the kind of guy like in spring training.
You know, when spring training happens, the veteran guys or the big league guys in general, especially the starting pitchers, man, after five innings, you're running out of there for that game.
You know, you go watch five innings and get out of there, go golf, go fish, go do whatever you're doing.
And Griffin, he'd play his five innings and he'd stick around for the rest of the game.
And they'd be like kind of ushering him out of the dugout almost like, hey, man, get out of here.
And he's like, no, these are the dudes I played with.
You know, like you could see that you didn't even have to hear him say that you saw that happening.
And that's the kind of dude he is.
And that's he's raised right.
You know, he has a great example in schemes who's on the pitching side, the same kind of prospect he is, but a phenomenal player.
And I think the thing I've noticed lately as he's kind of made this resurgence from that little bit of a bumpy head is he is like in the box.
It looks like he's going to hit.
And you can tell when you have prospects that are like trying to figure it out or like every time he comes up, it looks like he's going to hit.
And they started pounding him inside early.
He figured that out.
You know, the first at-bat goes really bad, and they come out and attack him the same way.
He figures that out.
And just like young, energetic, you know, you pull the lens away from him.
I say this all the time.
You pull the lens away from him.
