And internally in the United States,
even stalwart supporters of Israel, both on the Republican and Democrat side, are getting very cheesed off with the Israelis.
So, for instance, Rahm Emanuel, the former mayor of Chicago, former chief of staff to President Obama, presidential hopeful, we think, for the Democrats in 2028, has said on the record, just in the last few weeks, we should stop any kind of military aid for Israel.
That should end.
And that is quite an important thing for someone, you know, who is Jewish and has been a sort of very staunch supporter of Israel in the past, to say.
You've got all the people on the MAGA side, you know, the Marjorie Taylor Greene, who, of course, has fallen out massively with Donald Trump.
These people, Tucker Carlson, Candice Owens, I mean, the influencers on the right in the MAGA camp who have far more influence over Donald Trump than, let's say, the Secretary of State does, you know, or senior diplomats.
they have been saying, you've got to cut ties with Israel, they're taking you for a ride.
So that's really important on one side.
How does that play out?
And of course, on the other side, the reason why Hezbollah has been firing at Israel four days after the beginning of the 28th of February war was that presumably Iran told them to do so.
So do the Iranians have control over Hezbollah, which is seeing its own interests and military ability massively pummeled yet again in Lebanon?
And does the Lebanese army, does the Lebanese government hold any sway at all over Hezbollah?
I mean, they've signed this deal with Israel, but Hezbollah wasn't around the table.
So the sort of proxy war going on in Lebanon is really important.
And again, let's wait and see.
I mean, we don't know to what extent either side will abide by rules that aren't even set out clearly in this memorandum of understanding.
