And look, you can get a lemon every once in a while, or there can be a batch of Toyotas or a batch of Aleko bars that go out of the factory that are whippy.
I think we can all visibly see what the bar is doing.
But to say that it is, in fact, the bar versus the collar slope, I don't want to speculate.
I'm just telling you what somebody said and a guy who actually works in the factory.
So all that going back to Jordan's, you know, he said that the bar was behaving in a way that he wasn't used to.
And I was unable, admittedly.
even with a pretty keen eye on calling attempts, I was not able to see that in the moment and I didn't do a good enough job, quite frankly.
And so I should have called better attempts for him.
Now, when we get to the bench press, look, we were just in the warmup room.
I was heavily monitoring insurance during the bench warmups and said, look, man, we got to get one in.
And so...
We stuck with our 182 and a half kilo opener and thank God that we did because it was the only attempt that he made.
And so at that point, the reason that I added five kilos is because I figured, look, at that strength level, I really saw no reason going up two and a half because it's almost essentially taking the same weight.
you know, attempt on the second one.
So I said, hey, let's throw five on it and see what happens.
And clearly he couldn't press it.
So then we're pretty much moving on to the deadlifts.
And as he said again on your podcast, what hurt him in the deadlifts was the lockout portion.
And once again, you know, I could have done the deadlifts a little bit differently.
Um, but again, hindsight is always 2020, but I just want to step forward, raise my hand and say, I should have, and could have done a better job coaching him.
