I have no idea if the bar contributed to that.
And I do want to clarify one thing about this bar because there's been so much discussion about that.
I've had extensive conversation with Oscar Bjork, who is the assistant coach of Team Sweden, who works under Carol Arvidsson.
Oscar works for Aleko.
He works at the manufacturing plant at the headquarters there where they make the bars.
And he has told me, matter of factly,
It is an identical bar to the past version of the bar.
What he did say is that's the issue they believe is actually with the collars.
Apparently these collars are so strong, are so robust that they lock the weights down so securely when they are properly fastened that there is zero wiggle.
And so because the weights are locked on the bar so tightly,
it then creates this whippiness, this effect through the bar.
So Oscar has told me it's not the bar, it's the collars.
And they are currently undergoing additional rigorous testing to determine if that is in fact the case.
And if it is, they are going to scrap the collars and start over.
Interesting.
He assured me that the bar was an identical bar to the last version.
So look,
You can take that at face value.
You can say, oh, that's absolute rubbish.
We also know with any product that comes out, I mean, you go and you buy a Toyota, which for all accounts is a very reliable car.
