I will say this um uh regarding Alba, which I think is absolutely phenomenal.
You know, she had benched 140 kilos at the past three competition.
That she done leading into this one.
And so for her to bench a hundred and seventeen and a half, that's twenty-two and a half kilos lost, which is a
Humongous chunk.
But what do elite athletes do?
They adapt, they overcome, they find a way.

Another part of their game to the tune of, Oh, by the way.
My bench might be down because of the rules, but I'm gonna up my auntie in the deadlift and pull a world record.
And so to her credit, she was able to to to pull a world record there and you know mitigate a little bit of that gap.
I mean, I think, you know, respectfully, you know, she's pretty much running her own race at this point in this weight class.
Obviously, Kiara, if she had been healthy.
It's a lot closer, different conversation.
The attempts probably swing a little bit differently, but credit to Alba, man.
Now she's a two-time IPF world champion.
And for her to make up that kind of ground and do that well in the deadlift is really exciting to see, given the fact that she took such a hit on her bench press.
But it was peach because I was coach uh I was coaching Mathana Messiah at the same time.
Yeah, would have I think I think their last pull there with Annie, they went, they added 12 and a half kilos.
They went for 232 and a half, and that would have put her in fourth place just off the podium.
