Ryan, you even said when he came back for that third attempt at three Oh five, he's just essentially, you know, hope grip away a lockout away there.
It just popped out of his hands at the very top, you know?
So, so yeah,
Look, clearly the aptitude or the strength level was there, but it does bring into question some of the stuff that I think Michael has talked about and been very open about in his training.
It's his unconventional training, using straps, overloading, that sort of thing.
And look, clearly that's been a recipe that's worked for him.
But what I would posit is if you're taking a lot of pulls that...
uh in straps you know have you taken two poles that are 300 plus in a very short time frame in a very short flight different ball game a completely different ball game at the international level and now you've got the the bright lights are on you and and and the strictest judging in the world and you're being asked to now take two poles at 300 plus with no straps in a short time frame
And so clearly, I don't think that that's something, you know, I don't think that's something that he's done in training.
And of course, it came back to bite them.
And so hindsight is always going to be 2020.
It's always going to be crystal clear after the fact for us to say, oh, you know, he should have gone 290, 295 on the second one and then kind of gauge from there, you know what I mean?
And looked at the scoreboard and then he would have been able to go over 300 on the third one.
But look, they went all in on that on that third one.
And I think
you know, look, there's also a bit of the quote unquote world record or the Sheffield effect kind of looming in the background.
