And he just, you know, presumably went ahead and went to his planned second attempt.

And so, you know, at subtotal, it was, the score was 370 to 350.

in favor of Ivan there because he's got the big bench.

But we knew that things were really going to change here in the deadlift.

And so we saw Michael open up with a really big opener.

I thought that was quite a heavy opener from my perspective.

I mean, when you have a lifter,

whose current PB is 303 kilos, you know, and you're opening at 277.5, that's roughly around an appropriate opener.

But I think even more so striking than the opener actually was the second attempt, right?

And I think that's what had a lot of people kind of scratching their heads and it raised some eyebrows was immediately going for, you know, the world record there at 303 kilos.

And so having...

Talk to some of the staff and some of the people who are kind of behind the curtain and some of the decision makers.

I know that, you know, one member of the U.S.

coaching staff who is not a personal coach, who kind of allowed Michael and his personal coach to kind of, you know, make some of these decisions.

He told me after the fact, he goes, you know, I kind of would have liked to have had that one back.

And so kind of to my point before, there needs to be a clear chain of command between

a clear division of labor.

And when you have too many cooks in the kitchen, so to speak, it creates a lot of ambiguity and it's, and things aren't clear and the, and, and the waters get muddied and the personal coaches, obviously they're invested in their athlete and they believe in their athlete.

Well, I've seen them do this.

So I know they're capable of that and so on and so forth.
