I can't remember the words.
I can just remember this face like thunder.
She was very good at that.
And I just felt so small.
And it was the last time I shoplifted, but definitely not the last time I had that feeling of regret.
I think I was sort of training my brain to have that sense of sort of self-loathing.
And was it, would you describe that as the worst moment of your life?
Up to that point, I really struggled when my nan died.
Because she'd gone through breast cancer and looked like she was on the mend.
So it was quite a shock the way my nan died.
And even though she was well into her 80s...
It wasn't a shock in that sense.
I hadn't known anyone die before.
And because my nan had been so close, and I think she'd been something that had held us all together, and certainly held me together, and kept me... Sounds silly, but kept me good.

I possibly did for about a week, but...
He was just very disappointed.
He wasn't a shouter.
But I think in a way that was worse because it was just like this confusion and disappointment is actually as powerful as anything, isn't it?
Like when someone expected you to be something and you're not.
