Some of my very, very best thoughts.
moments in life and best relationships in life have come out specifically of those hard times.
No, just to say that, you know, I'm, you know, I...
And I'm very grateful for my upbringing and my parents always did the best they could with what they're given, which is what I try and do too.
What I mean is, like...
If you have a difficult childhood in some ways, that doesn't mean that childhood was devoid of love entirely or laughter entirely.
You know, there's a danger sometimes when you're creating your own stories of your life to always sort of like view it either as a comedy or a tragedy or this, that and the other.
And it's everything all at once.
And I feel like, you know, my parents, like everyone else I've ever known, are imperfect people.
And I'm an imperfect person.
And the only way to sort of like.
not become bitter in life.
It's to sort of like carry a sense of forgiveness, not just for other people, but for yourself too, and to learn, you know, as you move on.
In a nutshell, what's life taught you?
I think it's mainly taught me the sheer unpredictable nature of existence.
It's just like every time my mind has been certain about something good or bad,
it's been wrong.
Thankfully, you know, in the case of depression, it was wrong.
You know, I go back to the point when I was 24 and I was convinced, I knew 100% I would not live to be 25.
And yet I am now 50.
