It's about, like, you having something you really want.
And they say, oh, we can't have it.
Yeah, we don't have it in the budget.
We don't have it in the budget.
And then they go spend the budget on something you really don't need right now.
That's what it's really about.
I mean, I can literally remember talking to Steve Young about this.
He was like, man, we're going back to the Super Bowl.
And if you're Matthew Stafford, I talked to him at the end of the year, and he knows how good of a year he had.
He knows how good his team is.
They literally were a weird two-point conversion away from going back to the Super Bowl.
I mean, that's really what the difference in their season was in their mind.
So to, like, invest in something down the line, it just doesn't feel exciting, I would think.
Put yourself through some hardships and you will come out on the other side a happier, more fulfilled, healthier person.
When I think about Harbaugh, John Harbaugh and the Ravens, I think they're a top five team just for the last decade.
They're a top five team in the NFL in terms of a franchise.
They don't have the Super Bowl trophies that the Chiefs do, but they're top five.
They're just always in it, always consistent.
And I think if you take that same kind of approach for who you're going to be drafting, I don't know that you need to be all that โ
