There are endless hard technical problems, and engineers love to solve them.

I I know I love solving hard technical problems, brain teasers, right?

But this sort of a trap.

Just because you found a hard technical problem doesn't mean that it is something that should be a product, right?

So I I love the saying a solution in search of a problem.

Don't confuse a hard technical problem with a widespread problem, people actually.

If I had to give some advice honestly to your, I mean, I think one of the biggest things is being honest with yourself about a wide variety of things, but answer these questions before committing to the space, right?

Like how many companies have this problem?

If 80% of the Fortune 500 is, you know, has this problem and they're spending 20% of their engineers' time doing it, it starts to build a number in terms of how much these companies

Companies are spending solving this problem today, this effectively becomes part of your TAM, right?

Yeah, I'm Matt.

I'm one of the founders and the CTO at ChainGuard.

I started my career building compilers and other kinds of developer tools at Microsoft and then ended up at Google, also focused on developer tools, at least initially, but that got me into the container space really early.

I started Google's container registry team, and that is one of the things that led me to meet my co-founders.

And over the years, we collaborated on a lot of different things that
