It has this powerful access, and you allow users of that to influence the prompt.
You're effectively giving them remote code execution as a service.
So I think folks aren't necessarily taking that to heart.
And frankly, like the number of vendors who have attempted to build remote code execution as a service, CI systems, isn't super large.
It's a crowded field, and not one I'd recommend folks get into in terms of building a CI system.
And it's a ton of work.
But like the number of folks today exposing
Like a customer support chatbot or something that accesses sensitive internal data, possibly, you know, you have to make sure that it can't access another customer's data, or you, you know, you can't somehow trick it into exfiltrating data.
I I don't think that folks necessarily have that sort of security mindset of how am I allowing this text, this unsanitized input that's coming from a random.
End user from influencing how agents interact with these systems.
And the security aspects of that are somewhat terrifying, given that folks are just launching chatbots that connect to these internal systems.
I'm sure some have thought about this.
Maybe many have thought about this.
But like the volume of these chatbots that are appearing or other types of bots that folks can influence the prompt is.
Is orders of magnitude larger than the number of CI vendors, even being a crowded field, like orders of magnitude larger.
And so I I question whether folks have really put that amount of thought into it, but also defending against prompt injection is an incredibly hard problem, possibly unsolvable.
And so I think that some of those aspects of it are what
I find so scary about how quickly folks are adopting agents.
It's not to say that they shouldn't, right?
Agents are amazing, but once you separate the hype from the reality and understand like how to use them, but deploying them in ways that have the right security controls and governance in place to keep folks from, you know, abusing it and turning it into a new form of RCE, some folks may
