So what did I take away from my conversation with Eric and James?
A few things.
Maybe things we already know that the labor market is changing.
AI is a profound transformation of the way we work, and that kind of transformation is obviously going to shift the labor market.
I really like this idea of thinking about roles and skills.
I think it's important because AI has shifted the value of so many skills.
There are many things that we used to think were really important to know that now we can just turn to our computer to do for us.
But as those skills become less important, it means we need to spend more time in our roles, thinking about others, moving towards the more strategic aspects of our roles as well.
And so as our jobs
Change, the kind of skills that we need are going to change.
And that means paying much more attention to them.
I think a big piece that comes out of this as well when we start talking about skills and the transformation of work is willingness to change.
