So they did a great job there.
And he deserves a ton of credit for getting them to that point with the 2024 team.
But then you mentioned the oblique moments.
It's a great way to put it because they go and they lose a game to the Rams, and then every single move after that was based on that loss to the Rams.
I mean, we didn't have enough defensive interior pressure, so here's all this money.
Uh Will Fry, who I think is a fine offensive lineman.
I don't have any issue with Will Fry's, but you know, 18 million dollars a year is a lot of money for Will Fry's.
It was like we have to have the the biggest free agent offensive guard because they beat us on the interior of the offensive line, right?
And there were just you know a lot of things like that that felt like, oh, even you know, we've got to run it back with a Byron Murphy, we've got to run it back with Aaron Jones, and these are great players.
Players, but you were paying kind of top dollar because they were coming off some of their best seasons, and it just didn't seem very like on the analytical type of side.
Like the analytical side would normally be kind of ruthless, right?
So I think from Nolan Teasley's perspective, the fact that he's coming in now, and uh you know, Kevin O'Connell has already been here for a while, it's kind of like a little bit of an I am the captain now moment.
Like, well, you know.
You guys didn't make this work.
So now it's my turn to take this thing over.
And I think that they will work, you know, in conjunction and close, very close together to build these things.
But I also think that, you know, Teasley has to understand that sometimes as as a new GM, and I I think he brings a little bit of this even mentality as you could pick up on it from his personality of like, this is how we're going to do things.
We're not going to do stupid stuff just because
It feels like it's time to do stupid stuff.
Uh, right.
