In in Hebrew, in biblical Hebrew and Judaism we have this concept which is called Tokacha.

And Tohacha can literally
be translated as
Loving rebuke, right?
Which is not rebuke for the sake of embarrassing somebody, not for the sake of hurting them, not for the sake of being mean, but because I love you and respect you.
I need you to know that what you're doing is wrong.
So I I approach every kind of ableist issue I see in the communities of which I'm a part, obviously, I go into Jewish communities, whether they're religious communities or cultural communities, and t talk about ableism and train people in how to be more affirming.
And it always has to come from this concept of Tokcha.
It's coming from
We there are disabled people in your community.
We are not being affirmed.
We are not being accommodated.
And in a lot of instances we don't even have basic access.
That is wrong.
It's morally wrong.
You're not stepping up to it.
You have to step up to it.
And very often people are gonna push back and say, No, no, no, no, no, we are doing it.
