With the recent recent mentions of the ghost, I wanted to share a story that my late father, John Frosty Kelly, used to tell with pride.
A lifelong fan, Dad had long uh white slash blonde hair and regularly sported a full beard or handlebar moustache of the same colour, hence the nickname.
One day while walking
Into into Waverley Park to watch the Tigers with a Puma sports bag over his shoulder, Dad was stopped by a group of supporters who mistook Frosty for the great Jim Jest.
Not willing to let the group down, Dad didn't correct them and before long was signing autographs and having photos with fans.
I mean.
Nervous of getting found out, Dad told the crowd he was late for a team meeting and quickly scurried off into the stands to find his seat.
