I'll be honest, I was I was worried it was going to be a hundred and twenty points at half time. So and it you we're not trying to make it sound better than it is, but it was a good effort to arrest a bit of momentum in that. Momentum in that.
And we did miss a lot of shots again. You know, missed a lot of shots, particularly in the second half. So um you've got to kick your goals early too.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean they weren't missing down one end and we had some pretty easy shots that we butchered down out
And then just not even just shots, just plays where, you know, Stilly Green and Tom Lynch supporting each other and other that that that's a walking goal every day of the week. And as you said, Matthew, especially against a side like Hawthorne, with uh the character they've got at the end of that as well, that they obviously sensed that they want a top two shouldp two.
So they were really open now with Sydney dropping off again.
Exactly right. And gee, they they played like a top two side on on Sunday, but that we allowed them to do that. Um It's been the story of our year in regards to teams um ability to take pressure out of the game, but also our ability then to Uncontested marks. Yeah, and r and ramp up our pressure.
Well the dogs don't take a lot of uncontested marks, so it should be a different looking game this week.
The tack the tackling is a real issue. Uh us sticking our tackles, under sticking them and then and then breaking tackles as well. So yeah, yeah, it is a real issue.
That's a massive focus point this summer, I think. I don't know what you do about it. If you you bring in a a a rugby guy like they used to to do tackling, I'm not sure, but you've got to stick tackles. As soon as you break a tackle now, the game is too hard to defend once you get out into open space.
