raising the level of the game is also raising the level of stories that we tell.
And it's very easy when it's a home World Cup to get caught up, and I certainly was spearheading this, the emotions of watching these guys represent the country on a national level.
But to raise the expectations, to hold, it's not about accountability, but to increase the conversation and knowledge base about the game and the country, it has to start with how we tell stories.
And yeah, what that looks like over the next four-year cycle of a World Cup,
especially someone working in the media, has covered the team consistently.
I'm interested to see how that, apart from the corporate side of it, how that evolves too.

And listen, I will pay attention to the Alphonso Davies situation in this respect.
No one knows what it's like to be Alphonso Davies because he, from the men's program, he is unlike anything that this country has ever produced.
But you can certainly look at the situation that happened not only at this World Cup, but extend it back to the CONCACAF Nations League third place game.
And I imagine if someone were to ask Jesse Marsh, quite honestly, he would not have played Alphonso Davies in that game because that's the game that Alphonso Davies tore his ACL.
It certainly wasn't a game that was all that relevant in the long-term perspective of where Canada ended up going in the World Cup.
Marsh is a competitor.
He made that choice.
And it led to this whole situation.
Because the other side of it is this.
Alphonso Davies is also someone who's making a lucrative amount of money with Bayern Munich, who are now looking to hedge their bets.
And they've just brought in a couple of players who could be challenging Alphonso Davies for his spot.
But on the flip side also, too, if you're the captain of a country, is it enough for you to come and only play 15, 16 minutes at a home World Cup?
That is not a personal attack on Alphonso Davies.
