If you fit into Jesse Marsh's plans, I use Kamal Miller as an example.

Kamal Miller was the starting center back for the Canadian men's national team through that incredible World Cup qualification run in 2021, got to the World Cup finals, thought he could potentially be Canada's starting center back for a long time.

He told us at TSN Soccer that he thought he might be there for five, six, seven, eight years.

And he didn't make this squad.

That is going to be a level of attrition.

There's going to be a level of attrition with this squad that there was in 2022 because that's who Jesse Marsh is.

Jesse Marsh is going to look at guys who fall into his give it all you got.

We press and we're aggressive.

We don't back down from anybody.

And we play hard and we train even harder.

And again, that's just baseline stuff within his coaching style.

If those guys fit, they're going to be on a road to challenging for a CONCACAF Gold Cup, challenging for a CONCACAF Nations League, wanting to go on another long run in Copa America.

And if we're thinking about, there's another aspect of this too, and Kevin Blue, the General Secretary, talked about this a few days ago.

But an important aspect of the next development of the squad is who's coming up behind.

And the CONCACAF U-20 Championships provides a pathway to qualify for the 2028 Olympics.

That's a U-23 tournament where you can have three overage players.

But that is going to be important because breeding a level of success and expectation, and to Marsha's point about how he wants to coach guys, a level of aggression and wanting to be proactive against opponents, that now has to start...

through every level of the men's program.

And that's why Jesse Marsh wants to be involved in the U-20s and the U-23s.

And for me, if we can see that symmetry, then it means that this won't just be a collector's item.
