And all of a sudden, Ronald Reagan, who already had a pretty good career going as this well-known Midwestern sports announcer, all of a sudden gets hired into this legendary stable of stars at Warner Brothers in the late 1930s.
Well, he starts off the way most folks started in Hollywood those days as a B-movie actor.
And
making a lot of low-rent pictures that were meant to be shown at the cinema alongside the A pictures, the prestige, you know, very expensive pictures.
And he even did this very cheesy action series where he was playing brass Bancroft treasury agent.
And, you know, man, I've watched some of those movies and they are unwatchable.
The special effects are so bad.
This is just such low-rent movie making.
But
He was kind of the Tom Cruise of the B movies in those days.
