can just hit this city that used to be home to i think about 300 000 people before the war attacks on civilians there are extremely commonplace and what we saw with the market vendor was just a particularly gruesome and um i think visually striking example it just was caught on camera but really these incidents happen every day
These cities that are maybe 15 or 20 kilometers away from the front line, they're now starting to also be attacked by small drones.
And so this danger of the so-called human safari is actually expanding to more and more frontline Ukrainian cities that were previously considered to be out of reach for this kind of thing.
This was the moment where Moscow residents and indeed the world saw the Russian capital get hit.
in quite a big way.
It's embarrassing for the Kremlin because I think the Kremlin wants to sort of portray that the situation is under control and essentially that it can keep doing this for as long as it takes.
And part of that narrative is the fact that Ukraine was essentially suffering the consequences of the war a lot more than Russia.
while their life in Moscow remained largely unaffected.
And the fact that Ukraine can basically go toe to toe with some of the huge Russian drone attacks on Ukraine, which deploy similar numbers of drones in a night, the biggest ones, is, yeah, that's a real alarm bell for Moscow.
And it's a sign of Ukraine's essentially growing and growing ability to deploy more and more weapons to hit deep into Russia.
In the early days of the war, he was talking about swapping Ukrainian counter drone systems and expertise for Patriot missiles, which are the big missile air defense systems.
Ukraine really needs the missiles for those because it's always running short.
But also he's suggested that Ukraine would be open to receiving money and technology in return for its technologies.
So I think Ukraine's long-term goal is to build security partnerships where it gets something meaningful in return.
That's what Zelensky is looking for.
He isn't just looking for a quick sale.
He's looking for something that is a significant long-term partnership, strengthening its diplomatic position.
and its strategic position globally.
Some of the Gulf countries are relevant for Ukraine in terms of negotiating with Russia.
Those countries have previously facilitated prisoner exchanges and rounds of diplomatic negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv.
