And, you know, like, there's many guys that are challenging coaches with their structure and their systems between periods, and they're not always right.

But Manny, you could tell, like, he knew exactly what a team needs to do to win hockey games.

And it's always the way he does it.

You know, it's always with a lot of respect.

It's always, like, he's never stepping on toes.

always understanding the other side what they're thinking and all they see the game and it's always well done and i i knew for sure he was going to have a role at one point in the nhl as a head coach honestly i thought it was going to be way faster but you know the the game sometimes you got to go through through through it to to learn and to to become a head coach in the nhl i think he's done a great job as

assistant coach in Toronto and then came back, won the Calder Cup in the NHL, which is a perfect experience for a coach to move into the NHL at one point.

Yeah, but I still remember like it was yesterday, the moment he sat down in front of us and told us he wasn't going to play for a while because of the eye injury, obviously.

And it was a very sad moment.

But then you knew like he was a leader just by the way he was expressing himself and the way people were listening to him.

You know, like it wasn't like, OK, we get it.

Like guys were sad, guys were at tears.

And we understood that we were losing, obviously, a great player, but a lot of leadership and

this guy is a special person.

I always said in Vancouver, there was a great leadership group and leading is one thing, but making the team feel like it was a family, that's another level because it's not every veteran player or it's not every good player that goes around the room every single morning and drink their coffee with players for 20, 30 minutes and talk and understand what's going on.

And this is what Manny was doing, right?
