Uh catch is a hard, hard position, you know, for being a rookie, he's doing you know, great for our staff and for myself.

Uh really enjoy throwing to him.

Uh and

you know he's got a good mind.

He understands what needs to unfold.

You know, there's still you know there's still some things where, you know, I I can d identify different things uh uh of w what I'm seeing throughout the game.

But there's also times where you know he's made some calls and I shook him off and it's been the wrong call.

And I'm having to go back the next day like, hey you were right.

Like don't think you were you know like hey when you called that pitch you were right.

Like don't keep calling that pitch.

Or keep in that situation

Your eyes are right.

Keep trusting your gut.

Like don't get mad that I shook you off in that situation, because next time I'm gonna trust you in that situation.

So uh I enjoy working with young catchers uh you know for that simple fact that I really try to empower them, really try to, you know, hey, just because I'm a veteran of all these years doesn't mean that you're wrong.

Like you're gonna be times where you're right, and you gotta be convicted in that.

You're a big weager, and so you know it's fun to be uh watching a catcher grow at that.

And he's doing a great job.

Oh yeah, I've definitely thought about it and it's definitely not gonna happen.

The the coaches they have to put in a they put in so much more hours.
